• Your wedding is very important and takes a lot of planning, energy, and ultimately money. So nothing should go wrong. Here are some points I think are important:

  • You should keep the negatives. Always. No exceptions. No extra cost!
  • Don't get bullied into a package! We don't do packages and have never understood how 5 or 7 packages could suit 500 hundred people. Every wedding is different and unique and should be treated that way.
  • I shoot your wedding, not my assistant. Make sure the person you hire will be the person who actually turns up to shoot your whole wedding, start to finish.
  • Make sure you like the photographer, not just their work. You'll spend 8-10 hours with that person, a brilliant photographer doesn't mean a nice person.
  • Don't pay more for black and white or color! There may be one dollar per roll difference, but that's it!
  • Don't hire someone by the hour. Why would they want to get things done in the alloted time, when they can make more money by going slow? Do you want to rush to get all of your photos taken because you only have a 5-hour package.
  • Don't pay extra for travel, within reason. I will go to Australia for you!
  • Don't be pushed into buying someone's albums, shop around-you might even get one as a gift!
  • Don't accept square proofs - Call me to discuss.
  • Make sure you know all costs up front.
  • Ask for references or brides the photographer has worked with.
  • Don't be afraid to ask what type of equipment the photographer will use for your wedding. The best photographers use a variety of equipment.
  • Make sure your photographer will be available to you after the wedding, as well as before.
  • Any other questions you have, don't hesitate to call me. You're not a photographer, so no question is too small!
